This is followed by a complaint of bowel disorder by the child. These are quite common problems and the child may become normal as soon as the milk is stopped.
Great mental disturbances and those which occur suddenly will drive off the milk totally and that too in a few hours.

Aperient medicines taken by mothers also affect the bowels of the child. Therefore care must be taken by the mother.
Returning of the periods is one more cause for bowel problems in children. The child will become uneasy and fretful a few days before and will begin throwing up milk. Once the period is over milk will cease to flush out.
When the mother is pregnant the milk becomes less nutritive again.
If sufficient intervals are not given between feeds then the child gets affected byt his problem of bowel disorder.
Teething also affects infants at the breast.
During weaning:
Derangements occur when unsuitable food is given or even due to over feeding. Irritation of teething is also another cause.
When the organs of the infant are very delicate and artificial food is given, there may be problems with the bowels.
Giving up breast feeding for no good reason may also be a cause for bowel and stomach disorders.
Depriving the child at the breast due to undue regulations will also affect the bowels.
The stomach does get affected when too much of food is given or even if the meals are repeated without a proper time period. This will also affect the bowels later.
Foods that are not suitable need to be stooped immediately or else these stomach and bowel disorders will appear once again.
