What worth a Sciphone i68+ clone purchased online for an unbeatable pricec

There are dozens of iPhone clones on the market, the most famous being the Sciphone i68+ from Bluelans of Communication. Now that the i68+ is famous, it is also copied by many Shenzeng factories and sold under various names: Miphone, Hiphone, ePhone, Ciphone and Scellphone. Purchased on the Internet, it costs 10 times less than the iPhone 3Gs. However it has the same look, wallpapers and user interface. By cons its technical performances are of another generation: the i68+ still uses GPRS, has a pushing CPU and a poor 0.3 million pixels camera lens, but it is a quadband GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), it supports dual SIM, has a microSD slot and has a Java mode to install additional software.

General characteristics

Like many Chinese phones, the Scellphone shares the same everlasting MT6225 MTK processor from Mediatek, a 32-bit RISC-STM ARM7EJ clocked at only 26 MHz and the same Nucleus Operating System from Mentor Graphics.

The golden color battery is a lithium-ion of 3.7 volts with a 1200 mAh capacity.
We found its 3.2 inch TFT 240 x 320 touch screen, bright, highly reactive, so pleasant to use. It has a GPRS and a pre-installed Opera Mini V4.2 to surf on the web and to use email services and it supports Bleutooth, USB, SMS, EMS and MMS, so it is quite complete.

Conception and design

It is available in black, white or black and aluminum as shown on our test. It measures 115 x L 61 W 13 E and weights fully loaded (with its battery, two SIM cards and a microSD), exactly 105 grams. First contact with the Scellphone i68+: good, looks like an iPhone. But, if we have a closer look, we can notice that the adjustment of the battery cover is not optimal (as you can see in the picture), but the rest of the phone is well-made.
